Anaheim Ducks players visited Orange County fire stations to personally thank local firefighters after battling the deadly Eaton and Palisades fires in Los Angeles earlier this year. Ducks alternate captain Ryan Strome paid a visit to Anaheim Fire & Rescue Station 3, while Ducks Captain Radko Gudas, forwards Troy Terry and Frank Vatrano along with goaltender John Gibson visited Orange County Fire Authority Station 21.
The players and their families had the opportunity to thank the firefighters for their heroic efforts while experiencing a ‘Day in the Life’ of a firefighter. The Ducks were outfitted in official turnout gear, learned how operate the fire hose and the players even jumped behind the wheel to drive the fire truck!

It is good for the ducks to get out there and meet some people who know how to put a team together, with plans and strategies, and with a more successful record
Anaheim Ducks, please learn from the Columbus Blue Jackets’ mistake and fire Joel Quenneville before the start of the season. Mike Babcock proved that if you make winning your priority, you’ll continue to make immoral decisions regardless of how much someone claims they’ve learned. Winning is not more important than maintaining the health and safety of everyone in the organization.
