It is a dangerous hit when the hit is from the blind side and is unexpected since you don't have the puck. I have seen a lot of interference calls, and this one was quite different than just impeding someone's entry into the zone, so it should be treated differently.
The real reason Tortorella didn't talk to Frost is because the growing bad blood between Canadians and Americans in the NHL is very real. Case in point the fight last night between Tom Wilson and Tkachuk.
I predict 30 days from now the league will be shut down, playoffs cancelled.
