  1. Nothing about this list is even remotely right.
Maurice Richard not at number 1.
Carey Price just straight up not there.
    What is this.
Why do I keep coming back here.

  2. No roadrunner???????? 5 foot 7 in the 60s and 70s??? Scored over 400 goals and won 8 cups as a player… I dont care if you make him number 10, but put him on the list lol

  3. Honestly #1-the ROCKET has to be …#2. Gentleman Beliveau …. Henri in here ??? maybe Cournoyer instead tough call .. and since I had not thought of as far back as HMorenz … I had SSavard edging out GLapointe for a spot. all the others totally agree

  4. Too many great players. Just think about Elmer Lack, Dickie Moore, Le Boumer Bernard Geoffrion, Savard, Lapointe …

  5. Tough one should have gone for the top 15 maybe would not have disturbed so many people. The Road Runner was my guy when I was a kid and then it was Guy. He was leading the scoring another season and had his hand broken (Sittler). I often wonder how Guy would perform when there is no hitting in front of the goalie anymore. His shot was deadly accurate and with the screens in today's game his goal output would be higher.

  6. I just feel newsy lalonde and phantom joe Malone are in the top ten somewhere.
    I just don’t know where.
But I’d have lalonde and Malone there someplace.

Theirs just too many great players though to really put an easy list together.

    The habs could pick ‘em.
    Put her that way.
    Ooo ps
Honorable mention must be given in such a list to
Bob gainey, Yvon courynouyer ,Steve shutt and Bernie boom boom geoffrion

  7. I realize these are always going to create a debate. But to include Howie Morenz over Jacques Lemaire is just crazy. He had twice as many points. That alone should be enough

  8. Sorry, drop Ken Dryden. He had great teams in front of him and got exposed against the Soviets. Also, Patrick Roy, he'll always be remembered more for Colorado. Cournoyer, JC Tremblay and Serge Savard should be on the list instead of the old-timers, except Belliveau, Richard and Plante.

  9. What!? No Scott Gomez!?!

Ok, seriously. Steve Shutt belongs just for coolness for being Geddy Lee's friend.
Honorable mention also for Saku Koivu, Chris Chelios, Guy Carbonneau and The Grate One – Claude Lemieux.

  10. I wish this list was top 20 Canadiens of alll time, because I would have included Jim Roberts, 5-Stanley Cups in 10 seasons with Montreal. He played won Cups with Toe Blake coaching the Canadiens in the 1960's and Scotty Bowman coaching in the mid-70's. My choice is 100% sentimental! RIP Coach!

  11. You are hi Henry Richard 11 cups
Yvan Cournoyer 10 cups Jacques Lemaire 8 cups Maurice Richard serge Savard 8 cups

  12. 1. Béliveau, 2. M.Richard, 3. Robinson, 4. Lafleur, 5. Harvey, 6. Morenz, 7. Plante, 8. Dryden, 9. Guy Lapointe, 10. Geoffrion

  13. For a top ten you have one too many goalie imo, and only two defensemen –
A case could be made for Serge Savard, Guy Lapointe or Markov

  14. 1. Beliveau
    2. M. Richard
    3. Lafleur
    4. Roy
    5. Cournoyer
    6. Robinson
    7. Price
    8. Lemaire
    9. Dryden
    10. H. Richard

  15. Nuts you could make another top 10 from players left off this list and it would still be better than most other teams top 10.
