They should give marner 17 million per season
QUESTION OF THE DAY — Do YOU Want The Blackhawks To Select Porter Martone 3rd Overall? Why or Why Not?
Hagens at 3. Let's gooooo!
Issue with hagens is just the contact balence. Since bedard and nazar also lack that skill it makes the hagens fit akward since we'd lilely struggle with controllibg possestion come playoffs which is objectively an issue. I've personally felt that O'brien brings the best size and skill combo but it's no slam dunk.
Any pick of Hagans , Mortone or Lundell would be fine. Just dont try to be the smartest guy in the room and reach for someone else. Last time we did that , it was for Dach.
@3 – Misa
Schaffer
Hagens
Denoyes
Frondell
Martone
@25- Zonnon
Spence
Nestracil
Lee
I would be happy with any of these guys, I realize some of them are a pipe dream at being available.
Desnoyers is still my choice. With 2 Hurt wrists since last November he was 3rd in points, 2nd in ppg, at a 63.7% face off %, and had a plus/minus of +51 while playing against the other teams best line. He led his team in points in the playoffs with like 30 points in 23 or 24 games. Just turned 18 in April.
You're not winning a Stanley Cup with all your centers 5'11" and under. History is against you.
I like porter more than all the prospects
it would be quite ironic if the hawks pass on hagens at #3 this season and he ends up going #5 overall just like demidov did last season. just sayin…
"Is Porter Martone's size and skill combination exactly what the Blackhawks need in their forward group? Yes. Yes it is, and the Blackhawks should not overthink this. Two points:
1. They need a forward more than they need another center.
2. They need a player with size and strength who can score around the net.
Their pick at No. 3 should be either Porter Martone or Anton Frondell.
Connor Bedard is not speedy. He’s an average skater.
Martone is the most talented and offensively skilled forward available at #3. He can be a perennial 80 – 90 point guy in his prime similar to Jason Spezza (who wasn't a fast skater).
Shawn Horcoff was a decent player.
