I don't compare him to other players not playing center. I compare him to Trocheck. We bet on him instead of Trocheck. Those results speak for themselves
If some other GM watches this and believes he has higher value and it gets the Canes more, I'm all for it.

Making such a good case for KK should be criminal. Is he’s a 4th line center I think we should be ok with that. Just can not be a pseudo 2nd line center again for us.
He's only good to be 3rd line on a non playoff team
Realistically, I doubt he gets moved this off-season. We don't need to get his contract off the books yet. It would be nice, but if you wait a year or two, there will be a lot more flexibility with what to do with him.
Bullshit. We do not want to get rid of him. I absolutely love KK. We have plenty of centers, including Jarvis who doesn’t have to be a winger for Aho. He made JUST as many points as Staal. He has just as many hits. He’s positing in +/- positive.

Jesperi always sticks up for his teammates and throws good hits, he would be perfect at 3rd line center

That said, i dont think he gets more than 1, maybe 1.5 years before you are done. Unless he is capable of taking over for staal when he retires.

Everytime this dude talks i'm convinced he just doesn't know hockey… He needs to go. There is zero reason to give him almost 5 mil a year. He doesn't help the team move forward. So he's paid like a 3rd or 4th line center with the skillset of a 4th line center who plays 2nd line? That makes no sense. Go pay for Ryan Donato for God sake. Sam Bennett is going to get overpaid by someone, go overpay him. You know what he does in the playoffs. What about Duchene or Granlund? Those are just the upcoming UFA's. I'm sure there is a trade somewhere to be made as well. KK just isn't the answer no matter how bad you want to spin it.

KK is a fourth line Center at best & willl never be worth the $45m the Canes invested in him. The offer sheet fiasco remains a Tom Dundon brain fart & one that stinks just as bad today as it did four years ago. Time to move on & learn from the mistake.

Sam Bennett is making less money than KK this season FYI. Trade him, buy him out, do something just get rid of him. And the 77th highest paid center argument is irrelevant bc he’s OUR 2nd highest paid center and we would’ve been able to keep guenzel last year no problem if we didn’t have this contract.
