The Panthers, who are in the Cup Final for the third straight year, had won their past five road playoff games and were 31-0 under Paul Maurice in playoff games when leading after the first or second period before losing 4-3 in overtime in Game 1.

Wednesday, the Panthers trailed 1-0 on Leon Draisaitl’s opening goal 66 seconds into the game.

Florida led 2-1 going into the second off goals from Sam Bennett and rad Marchand — with Bennett’s second coming 2 minutes into the third.

Edmonton tied it in the third, with Draisaitl ending it with a power play goal in overtime.

Sergei Bobrovsky had 42 saves.
