This old man and Allvin completely shat the bed. There’s no excuse for the dumpster fire they allowed to happen. Going from an over achieving year, trading away Kuz and then 103pt JT this year… while princess Petey, the fifth highest paid player in the league, couldn’t be bothered to finish the season and help his team hunt for the wildcard spot. We lost big Z last year and they STILL don’t know how to handle UFAs… we’ll get nothing for Boeser and Suter. Are they gonna stay because of Rutherford’s charm?!

Tocc leaving is the clearest truth about the franchise. Management needs to get fired and time to bring in some young blood to run the team.
Oh the team is destitute because of the lack of practice facility now? Not because the GM you hired is biased towards soft, european players? Ya know this franchise won 2 presidents cups, made it to the finals and had about 6 or 7 very entertaining seasons without a practice facility. We drafted well and we didn’t mortgage our future for marcus pettetsons and elias lindholms. This regime sincerely makes benning look good.
If Brock wants to stay in Van do short term, prove self, type deal.

Problem is, for me, I wouldn’t want Brock on a 1 year prove self type deal. Imagine Canucks re-signed him last year after a career year for 8+ mil per. Yikes!
I’d want at least 2 years of consistent hockey from him; so he earns his last long term contract.
Can you guys and all fans get OFF the Hughes train? Like seriously. How many games did Canucks play without him? And what happened? Not a collapse. Also, he is small, he is not as fit that he needs to be (his body fat is approaching 15-20%), and he is 'just' an elite player. NOT intergenerational star. Yet. So chill. Like really.
JR is the greatest GM of the past 25 years. 3 cup wins, 4 cup finals appearances and he did it through free agency, trades, drafting – he is skilled and respected. He is not the problem.
An activist owner should send Rutherford into retirement before he completely disassembles the core of the team. Toc is no fool. He knew what was coming, the match was going to be lit by Rutherford and he got out of the burning building.

If ownership can't do what the teams needs they should sell the team to someone who can find the restate to fix this problem?!
