How massive was this Oilers comeback?

Better late than never, as the Oilers came back from three down to beat the Panthers in overtime and make the Stanley Cup Final a best-of-three. How massive was this Oilers comeback victory to tie the series? How impressive was Calvin Pickard in relief of Stuart Skinner? TSN Oilers reporter Ryan Rishaug and TSN Hockey Insider Pierre LeBrun join SC with Jay Onrait to break down Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Final.

  1. How massive was this Oiler's comeback? You mean, in spite of the NHL 3 day delay between game 3 & 4 as well the NHL supplied – bought off – America 1st and their wilfully blind Refereeing system? Well? It's…. Huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge. See you Saturday for Game 5 where the headline may read… "NHL found trying to buy off the Refrigeration Operators in Edmonton to insure soft ice"?? WhoooooAhhh

  2. refs were bought, stick to the face didnt result in a penalty but a goal and many more instances of just blind refs to panthers naughty fouls but penalizing every little bit of oilers missteps

  3. I don’t think they could have made that more stressful on fans if they scripted it…. Wow

  4. If the refs made the 3 calls they strategically chose to ignore, the Oilers would have likely won in regulation.

  5. Ummm did TSN not watch the 2024 stanley cup finals?

Oilers were down 3-0 in the series and the entire story line was Could the oilers be the forst team in history to come back from that in the SCF and were 1 goal away from that.

Oilers have come back all last years in series and games and like wise this years playoffs.
Not sure if TSN is actually shocked about "Won't forget this game and miracle comeback" or they trying to manufacture drama and excitement. Lol Not needed guys. There is plenty of both in this series.

  6. The oilers play better when Pickard is in net. Theres some serious confidence in him in that room.

  7. Bo-Bo-Boborovskyyyy 😂😂😂 Let in 5 like Carrots eaten by A Lamb , Little Lil' Lamb in Florida 😂

  8. Skinner stood on his head for the 1st 14 minutes, that 1st period isn't on him, but Pickard starts, team is different in front of him

  9. Amazing the disrespect that Skinner gets. 18 guys didn't show up for the first period, and the 1 guy that did takes all the hate from both the fans and the media. This game would've been absolutely gone if not for him in the 1st. He held it together so that there was something left to save for the team when they decided to finally start playing hockey.

  10. Rediculous and stubborn coach decision started with Stuart Skinner. Kris Knoblauch almost ruined the Oilers playoffs game. This is the third times Calvin Pickard saved the Oilers. Last season playoffs with Vancouver, this season with LA Kings and last, night with Florida Panthers. another stubborn for Kris Knoblauch is Trent Frederic has been playing so many playoffs games already so far he only had 4 points. He should be replaced by Jeff Skinner not pulling Victor Ardvisson. Jeff Skinner and Victor Arvidsson both had a goal vs Florida Panthers. seems like Kris Knoblauch likes Stuart Skinner and Trend Frederic a lot. Jeff and Victor both can score goals for the team, Kris Knoblauch should realized that vit he just wanted his way.Let me tell Kris Knoblauch a bystander sees clear. Go Oilers Go

  11. It's not sustainable, Oilers need to start the game on time, and play a full 60 minutes. Comebacks are great but come elimination you can't keep playing from behind

  12. We're a 4-line, two-goalie team. It's the way we win. Yesterday was exactly that. Going back to that was key. Skinner got us through the regular season. He did more than his part and there's no shame in having to give Pickard the net to take us the rest of the way. We wouldn't be here without both of them.

  13. What a game with both teams looking like Stanley cup champs at times and .500 teams at others. From Minnesota so Im a wild fan but been watching oilers since late 80s smythe divison days… battle of Alberta was insane. Mcdavid/Drisatel need a cup #97 !!!

  14. A Jets fan watching and laughing who won the Vezina, what a joke. I hope the Oilers can keep this going and bring it home as there is no winning in Winnipeg.

  15. Why does Skinner get so many excuses made for him? 🙄
He let in 3 goals in a peeiod… got shelled in the last game. Pickard is undefeated.
    Results mean something

  16. why are they talking like the oilers are leading the series and the next game is the clincher?….. it's 2-2 guys…. lotta work to do…. next game is the biggest test at home…. if the oilers win that – then we can talk like this…..

  17. The analytics tell the tale. On high quality scoring chances Pickard has a better save ratio than Skinner by a noticeable margin. In fact, Pickard is not that far from Bobrovski elite level in these playoffs. Clutch saves on high quality scoring chances is a difference maker.

  18. I do think Florida has Skinner's number whereas Dallas didn't. Pickard seems more solid and dependable. The Oilers play to protect Skinner and they play more their own game in front of Pickard because they are more relaxed.

  19. Whether or not Skinner played poorly, its not an accident that Pickard is undefeated in the playoffs. Sometimes you gotta ride the hot hand and he's the guy
