In my crystal ball, I see the end of Strubble in MTL this summer. I’ve been watching Engstrom in Laval and he is not only better than Strubble, he is better than Xjekai already. I would only trade Engstrom if we do extend Matheson’s deal or of course, if we do include Engstrom in a multi player deal, then you have no choice but to extend Matheson. I also think that if we do trade with Vegas for Hage, give it to the trade deadline to see if Hage fits in week, and then trade Matheson.
I believe trading for Hague is a confirmation that they are thinking to bring up Mailloux. Xhekaj is great but he is still young and make some mistake unfortunately. For that reason, it is not ideal to pair him with an even younger right D that is also error prone.
I kinda wish we would have gotten a little deeper into the prospect pool in this vid. Would've liked to hear more on Mailloux, Beck, Kepenen etc. That said, great video!
This guy talking like the NHL wasn’t gonna have a break anyways if not for the 4 Nations Cup. That break was pencilled in for anyways be it All Star Game, 4 Nations Cup or Olympics. Most of the players in the NHL get a break at the middle of the season so not just rookies hit a wall, most players do if the NHL doesn’t have a mandatory break in the middle of the season. People just love to talk, not realizing what they say means nothing.

I find your show is so important for us Habs fans to learn from and also question especially as we wait for the draft and free agency. I appreciate your hard work and intelligent hockey topics keep up the good work.
Don't forget, Fowler was on 3 killer Boston College teams and they didn't win anything. Also, Primeau had 2 outstanding years in NCAA. Just saying; don't count your chickens before they're hatched.
Honorable mention, most improved prospect: Florian Xhekaj
For me, there are two most improved. I watched all Rocket games. If you only consider improvement and not their draft position, Florian Xhekaj is 1st because he played the whole season so we have a better idea. Then David Reinbacher. Although I agree that they both would benefit from another season with the Rocket under Pascal Vincent, I wouldn't be surprised if they both play with the Habs next year (for a few games or more). And an honorable mention to Adam Engstrom.
Where are the forward prospects that have size compete and can score or is it going to be a future of watching goaltending doing the butterfly?
egghead Marco D'Amico might be the least plugged in reporter in the entire Habs beat, breaks zero news, like some of us have been onto Engstrom for a while now. Total fkn casual.
Reinbacher most improvement???? What lol. He was drafted 5th overall, I would say his draft stock has decreased not increased. The player most improved has to be Florian Xhekaj playing his way into being a legitimate NHL prospect with a huge first year in Laval
I think the big prospect is F. Xhekaj. I wouldn't be surprised to see him play on the team this year and even at time as a second line center once he's comfortable
Roy RHP Farrel will be gone
All eyes should be on one player this year and he's on the big team and that's Slafkovsky. In my opinion I'm not yet convinced and I have a feeling he's skating on thin ice with management. Says all the right things but he needs to put them all in action on the ice starting in October till the end of the season.
Roy barely cracks the top 10
