    IfCrosby comes to Montreal I will buy a Jersey full price and maybe cry, but I doubt it. He doesn't have the guts to come here, when he lives such a peaceful life up there, unless it's just to play and not move the Family.

    It might be crazy but hear me out! Montreal acquires Crosby AND Malkin…but them both on second line with Demidov. Guy like Crosby to teach the game and how to be a pro and Malkin to help with the culture education. Devastating combo! How deadly would the PP1 AND PP2 be with those players?

    I don't get why the penguins would let Crosby go… rebuild or not. If you are rebuilding you want good vets to support the young talents you bring up and show work ethics and all that stuff. Crosby's work ethic is through the roof! He was in my hometown on vacation a few years ago and he would go to the rink very early in the morning to get his reps in… and he took time to practice with one of our young local player who could not believe what was happening to him in a small town's outdoor rink.

    Sorry but I would not touch any players from Pittsburg, how much do you guys think it's going to cost us to trade for him… no way, let's not get too excited here… 37 for Crosby, 38 yrs old for Malkin… no way… please stay away…

    Letang has 3 years left. I'd grab him (50% retained and 50% brokered –>would maybe cost an extra 2nd rounder+?) if they force him on us to get 87!

    Maybe teams want to onload players… you mean players on the way out and take Montreal for a retirement team but still expect huge salaries. No thanks. No patching, Montreal is the rebuilt mode…

    Get real…not without mortgaging the future. All their remotely good players are no less than mid 30s and you know the Pens for any trade will be looking for prospects and young players….it would cost a lot. Letang has two strokes during his career….bad investment.
