    Kreider was getting $6.5 million to be an impact player but injuries and age catch up with you and it would be realistic to assume his best days are behind him.
    Last season he had 8 assists and not all were primary .This was dismal.
    Professional sport is based in the main on performance and on that basis Kreider was underperforming.
    KAM and Lafreniere fall into the same category.Potential needs to be realised relatively quickly otherwise that's all it is!
    Drury and Sullivan need to decide what type of team they want the Rangers to be and draft and trade accordingly.I don't see a Cup anytime soon unless the Rangers acquire players with a win at all costs mentality .

    We were so close the last 3 years to a Stanley Cup Final, this season we fold, and now the team is trading away any decent player… all for what… another 31+ years without a cup? Dolan needs to sell, first my Knicks fold and now my boy Kreider is gone. Laffy boutta go too and K’andre. Trade Igor too at this point, it’s a f’ing shame this team. Shambles

    I like Kreider. Great Ranger.

    But c'mon….he's not Adam Graves, or Mark Messier…or Brian Leetch. Those guys are the standard.

    Not Kreider.

    I love Kreids and he will be greatly missed. He's been nothing but a class act for this team and all he's done on and off the ice. This guy was so good for our younger players taking theim under his wing. Even in leaving, he's a class act.

    As far as the trade goes, won't judge this until I see what Drury does with the salary cap. Either way, and like it or not, our best player (Igor) is locked in for years and is in his prime. We have to do what we can to get better and younger players around him while he's still in prime years. I'm not sure Drury can pull this off but we'll see.

    Unfortunately ,this is the shitty part of the business but it is a business ..Kreider is aware of this and approved this trade ..The ducks were on his no trade list …A necessary move and an excellent one by Drury ..More to come ..Let’s get younger …LETS GO RANGERS !!!..And by the way ,Iam a huge Kreider fan

    I think players' names should be in the rafters, but numbers? Why retire a number? I could do without that in sports. Any player should be allowed to wear any number, even 99! See past the number to the human and honor them, not the "number" they wore. Saying another player can't wear a certain number because it's "retired" is ridiculous.

    Drury has demonstrated time and again that he's incompetent. A healthy Kreider is more valuable to the team than mid defenders like Borgen and Vakanainen, yet rather than wait and see, he rushed to sign them and chose to dump Kreider. This is more about Drury's ego than anything else. I expect him to come away with nothing this summer and the team will end up in the bottom half of the league again. Maybe then Dolan will realize that he's the cause of the trouble.

    Jreider openly quit in the team and the city. You throw around the word icon. Kreider is not a Ranger icon. He ‘s no Messier no Leech. No Richter no Graves not even a top 10 player for the organization.

    Yep…He quit on the team…Miraculously recovered from his "injury" when the trade deadline passed…It was the right time to move on.

    I'm not happy. Kreider was a great Ranger. I hate how MSG, and the Rangers treat their homegrown stars. Watch him and Trouba get traded at the TDL to the Lightning, or the Panthers. Let that sink in for a bit.
