   Pound of flesh? Bud, everyone but Nurse was standing after that. It was embarrassing, poorly executed, and showed just how weak-legged the team was by that point.

   The only series in the past 3 seasons that was reffed very fairly was the Vegas/ Fla finals series of 2023. After getting away with everything against Bos then Tor then Carolina suddenly the refs cracked down on the cheap shot artists Fla and boy was Florida killing a lot of penalties and hence Vegas beat them quite easily in 5. Oilers killed them in 3 straight last year but couldn’t win a very close one in game 7. This series I feel is over, Edmonton ain’t winning this, hope I’m wrong

   very true, it's what drove me nuts about the Leafs in that series. a pair of 6-1 losses and they went with a whimper … and that's AFTER the Panthers took out Stolarz, not unlike how they took out Knies two years earlier.

    Only a deranged person would look at the third period of that game and justify what happened. The Panthers cross over the line from time to time, but I ve never seen them pole vault over it. The Oilers turned it into the Hanson Brothers scene from Slap Shot.

    What pound of flesh did they take? The Panthers dominated them physically and mentality. Oilers even lose the line brawl.
