  1. Shannon, is it worth Boston bringing in both players? Suter would have to get a look as a left shot D with a blue line that could use the help. Parise COULD provide depth scoring, maybe? Perhaps he is a reasonable alternative if Nitchie is taken in expansion on the 3rd line?

  2. 12.7+ mil of dead cap in 22/23, 14.7+ mil of dead cap for the two seasons following. Is that a record for Dead Cap?

  3. Really happy about Parise and Suter getting bought out. The old regime is all gone. That locker room is cleansed. Time for a new breed of Minnesota Wild hockey.

  4. Buyout of Parise and Suter was a big mistake, they will have 2023-24 and 2024-25 $14,743,588 dead cap space. Guerin kill the future of Minnesota wild.

  5. Pekka Rinne was an incredible goalie. I remember watching him during the 2011 canucks run and I always remembered his name after that series.

  6. I wonder how cheap Parise and Suter could be signed for on a 1 or 2 year deal. I mean they're both set financially with Minnesota paying them for the next 8 years to not play for the Wild. They're both 36, but far from useless. Sure they're nowhere near worth their 7.5 mill, but surely some team would sign them for around a millionish? Based on stats, I'd say Parise could still be a better bottom 6 LW, and Suter a better 3rd pair dmen, then what a lot of teams have. I hope my team makes inquiries. Lol 😆

You guys see the buyout penalty cap hit for these guys in years after the first couple? It's like 14 or 15 mill for a few years 😅🤣😂 How do you even make a team with nearly 20% tied up in dead cap space? 😳

  7. party with it, drink out of it, it whatever but when you start damaging it and throwing it off balconies i think they should have more respect for it then that.

  8. @Beard Up Beer Down HE DID CATCH GRETZKY IN GOALS!

    {%^)

    Brent Gretzky, yeah!

(And he BLEW HIM AWAY on Assists!!)

    Brent Gretzky NHL Totals: 1 G – 3 A

    Pekka Rinne NHL Totals: 1 G – 14 A

    * Rinne scored 5 Assists in 2011~2912. He OUTSCORED or tied 15 players who played on that team that season. AMAZING!

  9. I wouldn't be surprised if Parise retires and takes a job in the Wild office, while Suter ends up with one of the 4 semifinal teams for <2 million.

  10. imagine Suter going to montreal, Suter and Weber back together, holy shit it would be sick and it would hurt a lot to go in the front Price, but its not gonna happen anyeway but still would be nice and costly i guess

  11. First Tampa almost drops the Lombardi Trophy off a boat, then they ding up the Stanley Cup. You need to call down Florida Man. hahahaha

  12. I see Rinne fitting into another role with the club down the road, great career and a great pro all the best to him!

  13. Long contracts that they thought was clever in the beginning…. buyout they think is clever now… it will also not look clever in the end. Wonder if they both play for Seattle.

P.s. I remember when our message boards were filled with people complaining our gm didn't sign such ill considered contracts. I told them then… bad idea.

  14. Guy Carbonneau threw the cup into Pantera's drummer , VINNIE PAUL 's pool…he hit the ledge >>>>bahhahahahaaaa….true story !!!!

  15. Everyone losing their crap over Parises and Suters by outs don’t get it, those contracts were always gonna be stone around the Wilds neck, it’s just how they were gonna manage that mess, Gurin has Kaprisov and Fiala that need signing, those contracts were one huge distraction. Also the cap will go up the next 2 yrs, hopefully by year 3 our youngsters combined with our core guys this team will finally compete……….. legit compete

  16. Suter was a defensive liability he was weak played out of position and screened the goalie. Offensively he gave up the blue line a lot. He's been like that since he signed the deal with the wild.

  17. Either the Wild lose Dumba and have an aging Suter…or they buy out Suter and keep a young Dumba.

    Kinda obvious pick, no?

  18. I know this is 2 days old but Question. If somehow Parise was traded for Ladd last year. And if Parise retired like Luongo with term left. Would the Minnesota Wild have a recapture penalty?

  19. I was enjoying till you said you were wearing a Ryan Suter jersey!!! Greatest day in Wild history!!! Time for a fresh start…praise Billy Guerin and his massive balls! lol

  20. To all the “disrespected the Cup” crap, here is what actually happened. Remember; as so many are proving in modern times…never let the truth get in the way of your agenda.

“It was obviously raining and it was wet,” Maroon told the Tampa Bay Times. “I went to lift it, and I went backwards with it. I slipped and [Cup keeper] Phil [Pritchard] helped me up and the Cup went back on its end.”

“People are saying we disrespected the Cup. That is such BS because if they had half a brain, you know it’s wet outside and you’d think we’d be throwing the Cup around? No,” Maroon said. “We didn’t disrespect it. It was a complete accident, and we both got hurt. My back has been hurt all day. So, that’s what happened. Nothing crazy.”
