Are you surprised by the Norris Trophy results? And are you upset that 7 voters didn't have Quinn Hughes in their top 5?
Not surprised one bit. Eastern media bias and the fact that it's become a popularity award at this point. Hughes cleared Makar in essentially every defensive metric this season. Hughes being out due to injuries is what held him back. People don't realize that the Avalanche are stacked and will continue to be while Vancouver is anything but stacked.
Injuries matter to the fence sitters. Gives them an out.

All deserving to be in the top 3.
The crazy thing is that Makar and Hughes are UFAs in the same year.
