so how does it feel to score your first goal in a while yeah uh it was yeah it’s been a while like you said so it’s good obviously I feel that’s how you usually get your first one after a while so it was a heck of a play by mans and you know I’m just happy that it was at a good moment for the team and a big win for us from what’s the yeah yeah it’s been huge um obviously you know the way he defends and and how hard he plays and um his toughness out there I think we really missed it and um you know obviously underrated offensively as well so um yeah great to have them back great to have him back around the guys for sure obviously just really nice to get that out of the way just a nice boost of confidence and just the just I mean really nice to get that out of the way yeah yeah um yeah I like I think it’s been well documented obviously hasn’t been a great stretch so um yeah but like I said just keep your head down keep hard um you know I think hard work pays off and um that’s the result in the end so uh felt good for sure you did have to start on the fourth line tonight Jared said that Bray talked to you about it yesterday just what was that conversation yeah I mean I understand like I’m not mad at anyone I I think it’s obviously have myself to blame so um you know but they’ve been great they’ve been talking to me and watching video and and things like that and um you know Ray is going to he’s working with me the whole time so um yeah you said you know we’re going to we’re going to get you back to where we know you can be and um we’re going to rebuild it a little bit and obviously I’m on board that I want to play better and I want to be a better player so um yeah all positive things and um yeah keep it going J talked about it being a little bit more mental for you did you do anything differently to prepare for tonight’s game um I’ve kind of I feel like I’ve probably been mixing it up more than usual over the last few games and um I don’t know obviously try to find something that get you in the in the right spot and um it’s been a while since I’ve had a stretch like that so yeah but I mean nothing in particular I think you know the hard hard work and you know getting yourself ready obviously trying different things and trying to find a spark but um yeah get yourself ready to play and you know we’re pretty lucky to play this game what was the emotion Puck goes in and in that spot after all you’ve gone through in the last yeah I didn’t see you there hello by the way um yeah it’s been uh yeah I mean obviously it’s good and um I me I feel like that’s how usually get one of those like I said before it’s a tip and heck of a play by mats and uh made it pretty easy for me I think that’s N9 of 11 for the team now does it feel like you guys are hitting your stride and finding a rhythm here yeah I I think so obviously you know we had a little bit of a slow start but um you know we’re getting healthy and guys are coming back in the lineup and uh making contributions and um you know I think we got a pretty deep team when whenever un healthy and um ability to roll the lines over so uh yeah it’s been it’s been fun last last few weeks last one guys little bit of an interesting season for you guys too uh how does it feel to kind of cap off 2024 in a manner like this yeah it’s huge you know I think uh Bey talks about the segments and you know I thought as a team towards the end the last segment we had some momentum and um you know maybe it’s carrying over into this one and you know I feel like we’re primed for for a good segment here and uh continue to build it moving forward it is January 1st tomorrow so this is sort of a good spot to take stock or whatever is there could you still track this team down yeah we can track any team down if we you know you win enough games and they lose enough you you can track any team down so um yeah we we dug ourselves a hole at the start of the year and you know we’re starting to Trend in the right way and and we don’t care where we finish as long as our game’s trending in the right direction after game 82 the last time you faced the Jets you guys got shut out obviously a very different looking team on this side do you think it was different tonight having you know new goal tender in that yeah well we like our goal tending um you know we lost one nothing in that bar in their bar in there early in the season we played a great game actually um generated a lot of same things we generated tonight and and did a lot of really good things in that hockey game and just couldn’t get one pass to the goalie and obviously they play a different goalie tonight and uh we feel like we can score on any goalie and and play our game every single night so uh it’s it’s what it’s going to take to play you know these top end teams coming up how much of a difference did it make for you guys to have that time off in these past few days to just kind of who can really get ready for this game tonight yeah I think you know from Thanksgiving to Christmas was a bit of a gauntlet with our schedule um the amount of away games we’ve had so uh just get a little bit of time to to reset at home and and you know this is the building we want to be better in and we got a lot of games coming up here so for us to get focused and get a couple practices in in our you know in our Rank and our in our situation um it it’s been good so uh we’re ready to get rolling on said you haven’t been at 100% throughout points this season how are you feeling now at this point now a little bit more games at home play a little bit of rest yeah I mean we’re winning hockey games that’s going to make everyone feel better um you know we’re all doing what we can everybody’s dealing with things so um you know injuries are what they are and um lingering things are what they are and we just got to go out there and try to Win Hockey games a big win over very talented team what impressed you the most overall about this one uh just our commitment to to creating and generating offense um you know we we gave them some good looks and we got some big big saves from from Blackie tonight and um you know that’s just our s a little bit we like to push we like to be aggressive we like to you know double up on the puck and and create turnovers and that’s what helps generate our offense so every once in a while we’re going to give up some you know good looks off of it and he’s able to stop those and we are able to generate and use our speed against a little bit of a tired team in December after you really kind of chased the season the first two months in general tending has been a major factor obviously but just how much better does you guys feel about what you’re doing yeah we’re just committed to our game um I said earlier we’re committed on the defensive side and it’s creating more offense for us than when we’re not so um you know sometimes it it takes a little bit for guys to realize that and understand it and see it uh it takes some of those games for guys to really dig in and buy into it and now we’re starting to do that every night uh first in the division first in the league does it feel kind of good for you guys to be able to get them out of the way here in the next couple weeks um it’s just what the schedule is you play the opponent that’s in front of you that you got up next and yeah we got them Minnesota coming up a few times and um it’s a good test for us and and you know maybe our rosters look a little bit different in you know a month and a half two months from now but um it’s always good to play the best and you know it’s a great League to play in and it’s fun to play against the best teams in the league hopefully not anything serious but how frustrating is it that you get drawn back and the tuskin goes out in the third period and gets hurt yeah I mean we we just it’s next man up here we don’t know you know haven’t seen Val so I don’t know what what the issue is but you know he’s he’s a big strong guy and uh tends to bounce back pretty quickly so uh hopefully we can get him back sooner rather than later but you know we got next man up mentality here and and we’ve been doing it all year and we’ll continue to do it
