I would love to see him on my Red Wings and cap-wise they can make it work, he's something they need, him and Larkin have talked about playing with each other and it's still close-ish to home for him. Advocating for the Leafs taking a step back this year is just flat out an awful take. Love or hate what the Leafs have as their fixtures in their lineup, wasting years on those contracts for future considerations and draft picks is shallow thinking.
