Tomorrow is the 25th Anniversary of the New Jersey Devils winning the 2000 Stanley Cup.
On June 10, 2000 Jason Arnott buried a beautiful Patrik Elias pass past Ed Belfour in 2OT!
The NJ Devils defeated the Dallas Stars in Game 6, bringing the second Stanley Cup in franchise history back to New Jersey!
This is an A-LINE Reunion from back in 2018, a couple nights before Patrik Elias’ #26 was raised to the rafters. The guys tell great stories and joke about the glory days.
This is a must watch for the longtime New Jersey Devils fans.

“The culture precedes positive results. It doesn’t get tacked on as an afterthought on your way to the victory stand. Champions behave like champions before they’re champions: they have a winning standard of performance before they are winners.”
— Bill Walsh
I miss this line and I wasn't even alive. Arnott should have his number retired with the devils IMO
Petr Sykora was always my favorite. I still rep his jersey. 2003 was bitter sweet – but Jeff was so clutch for us in that run after the trade. Petr also got another cup later with Pitt though, and the 11-12 reunion was a nice encore.
Incredible line, incredible jacket
That no look back hand pass from Elias to Arnott while Sykora watched from a hospital bed…Epic!! Not gonna' lie, I got a little emotional watching Sykora skate with the cup during the reunion. This was truly and literally the team of the millennium.
Man, time flies. I cannot fathom that it's been 25 years. Will we ever get back to being perennial playoff contenders!?! Those were the days….
Cool interview…I will always cherish the 2000 cup in particular. It was one of the last great memories I have of my family together. My dad made shakers by taping 2 paper cups to each other and putting M&Ms in it before taping it. We were watching it in our basement on a big screen TV. During intermissions, we would play Devil Inside by INXS and chase the dog around the basement. When Arnott scored that goal, we all jumped up and down, screaming our lungs out. I swear the whole neighborhood was able to hear us. I can still hear my dad screaming "It's over! Stanley Cup is ours!" Parents went through a very bitter divorce in 2001, and everything went downhill. But now, I have a family of my own. My fiance and I were at the Elias retirement ceremony. It was a beautiful ceremony. I still remember Patty doing his speech, one fan screamed "1 more year!" And he just said "No!" Good memories.
Ace my man, you know what today is the anniversary of. I was talking to my teacher and he said he was at game 7.
Also tomorrow is the anniversary of the 2000 Cup final game 6
Ace, Nice. Lets hope the younger fans and us older fans can feel this excitement again!!!!!
Ace, thank you so much! I really enjoyed that interview. They still have great chemistry. Those were a fantastic 2 years to be a fan.
What a time to be alive!! The 2000 run was amazing at the old meadowlands. Can’t believe it’s 25 years. I need another cup!!!! LGD
