If a bully was to challenge someone who they usually bully to a fight and the person who got bullied accepts and gives it his all, holds his own and loses, no ones gonna care about the bully winning cause its expected, they will definitely care about the underdog standing his ground, showing heart and attempting to overcome the bullying he endures.
In this case martin is 150% right. No one has any given right to expect to win a trophy and you have to respect the underdogs when they do. Talking about arsenal winning the caraboa cup, they lost to a really good newcastle side who eventually went on to beat the current premier league champions in liverpool in the final. Palace overcame man city in a final and won there 1st trophy. Lets not forget aswell arteta has already won the fa cup and is the first person to win it as player and manager so caraboa cup is a backwards step for him. He needs the league or the champions league and like martin said hes got arsenal back to being a elite team in world football. The trophies will come if he continues to keep improving the squad and when i say trophies im talking the league and the champions league.
Why do you guys always do this, here we have a guy who has raised a team from a being a kickabout team to elite status where it is possible to dream of the best title there is to win in football, and there's you guys who are eager to call him a failure and cringing to make sure he fails so you guys can come on radio and say hey Arteta failed. Do you know what, even if he doesn't win anything more at Arsenal and he moves on from here, I would consider him a success and that's because he has made this Arsenal team a team were we can say "we have a culture" and that is good enough. The titles will come and Arteta is one of the best managers world football and there's nothing you can do to stop that.

The thing about Arteta is that he's trying to systemize his way to a trophy. You need players with the X Factor if you want to win the league. Saka, Jesus, and Odegaard can be that but injuries have been an issue. They have been an issue for 2 decades and the club hasn't figured it out.

Arsenal in the past 3 seasons Henry is talking about, have had the smallest squad of top 6 teams. So in essence they could not have gone for all trophies. They have had to aim for top prizes. That said, Arteta is the best manager for Arsenal as he is willing to work with a small squad, saving the owners on wages
