How concerning was this Oilers loss in Game 3?

TSN Oilers reporter Ryan Rishaug and TSN Hockey Insider Pierre LeBrun join SC with Jay Onrait to break down how the Panthers were able to dismantle the Oilers in Game 3, the level of concern surrounding Edmonton following the loss, and how much blame should fall on Stuart Skinner.

  1. Never been such a poorly refereed two games in the history of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. The NHL is a sham now, only biasing US teams to win. What a joke Bettman has made the league.

  2. I've been saying this for the last couple years, Skinner sucks. If u wanna win the cup don't not put that peice of Swiss cheese in. Good god.

  3. Moma2 online unofficially anonymously and with 1000% certainty served up "The Book" on the Oilers System during the Finals for the 2nd year in a row. This is a System dominance issue, Cats in 5, "formula" means System and the Cats own the Oilers System courtesy of Moma2. Oilers discipline problems are a smokescreen for being 1-2 steps behind due to chronic consistent constant System breakdowns. The Panthers are sinking in the Anaconda choke now and here is no escape… the harder you fight the tighter it gets.

  4. Oilers played like they were afraid of losing, not eager to win. Since Game 1 you can't even count the number of times an Oiler player who has open ice passes the puck, not to an open Oiler but to a guy who is being GUARDED, which leads to a turnover more often than not. Why does our unmolested guy pass the puck? Because he is desperate to get rid of it, because he doesn't want to be responsible for what happens. This is just classic cowardly play. Winners want the puck, until they create a chance to do something constructive with it.

  5. Skinner is badly out of position on many goals, flopping around like a beached trout.
And having Bobrovsky at the other end does not flatter his technique at all.

  6. that game was really messy, they got too frustrated in the 2nd and never recovered
if you let florida get in your head, you aren't going to win

  7. Oilers are not going to win the cup they are playing right into the panthers plan. Oilers are undecipline. Nurse woodlan were more focused on getting revenge than playing defence. Oilers coach should be fired he needs to control his team. Mcdavid i feel sorry for. Oilers need to play their game their fast skaters they play the puck with flow damn refs are all panthers. Oilers shame on yourself bennet yoyr going to get yoyurs panthers are wll big mouths and dirty oilers will not win if they do not start playing your game. Skinner you need to pick up your pace start playing goalie. Defencemen you suck.

  8. Interesting what will follow in game 4. Florida strong but edmonton with a day to forget.but such days are not new to edmonton they usually reacted strong. Florida in 5 feels at the moment as realistic as oilers in 6 or 7. Hope it stays exiting.

  9. Panthers in 5, 6 max. The Oilers aren't mature enough to show discipline. 11 penalties? Immature and not ready for the cup.

  10. Calling the Oilers a mature team after that debacle last night is hilarious. They are a bunch of toddlers following the lead of their temper tantrum throwing captain.

  11. walman, kapanen, and frederick all likely to get suspended too. considering the thuggery they did, deserved and may better hope the oilers focus on H O C K E Y rather than being pestilent children

  12. Skinner plug
    Nurse a plug.
Kane. A woman beating cuck gambler
    Perry. Plug. Can’t fight.

Another Florida victory coming in hot.

  13. Talent in hockey has given way to viciousness. The Florida PANTHERS ARE THE MOST VICIOUSLY AGGRESSIVE TEAM I have ever seen. I refuse to watch further

  14. They got suckered into Florida play. Need to stop taking stupid penalties and skate skate skate. Bring the cup back to Canada.

  15. The officials were being biased!! This led to the frustrations the oilers felt during that game. The game was simply unfair

  16. Absolutely is on Skinner. It's not entirely his fault, but his career .894 SV% in the playoffs is not gonna win a cup. No team has won the cup since a long time ago (pre-lockout) with a SV% under .900. Not gonna happen even with McJesus and Drai

  17. Does everyone in here seem to forget when the oilers came back in game 4 last year to beat the cats 8-1? Blowouts happen, even in the finals, no team is perfect, and the oilers did not show up in this game mentally or physically. But this series is far from over. And for those who blame every oilers loss on stu, you know nothing about hockey, or the difficulties of being an NHL goaltender. If the tide was turned and oilers dominated the panthers as bad as they got dominated in that game they are losing just as badly, does not matter who is in net. No goalie is winning a game entirely themselves when the defence in front of them is basically a pylon. Again remember oilers walked all over the cats in game 4 last year and dominated them even worse than this game 3 loss. Oil will bounce back, mark my word!
