PATCH ADAMS wins the 2025 Woody Stephens Stakes (G1)

Patch Adams made a wide trip wheeling into the homestretch, and he drew away to win in the Grade 1, $500,000 Woody Stephens Stakes, a one-turn, seven-furlong race for 10 3-year-olds at Saratoga.

Trained by Brad Cox for owners CHC and breeder WinStar Farm, the Into Mischief colt was ridden to victory by Luis Saez. Patch Adams (3-1) was the favorite at post time.

Madaket Road (11-1), who had blinkers added by his trainer Bob Baffert, rallied just behind Patch Adams to finish second. Big Truzz (7-1), who was piloted by Joel Rosario for trainer Brian Lynch, came in third. Eclipse Award winner Citizen Bull (9-2) settled for fourth for Baffert and jockey Mike Smith.
