  1. Congratulations to Edmonton! I don't believe that Dallas had a bad matchup; people just believe that they are better than they actually are…they are very good but not superior to the leagues' best. As an Avs fan , I did not think that they beat us cleanly. Our meltdowns, power play and Dallas' opportunistic goal scoring did us in. Totally on us though. As for Winnipeg, they are an excellent regular season team and that's the extent of it. So, I am not surprised that the Oilers beat them. Oilers in 6 against the Panthers.

  2. Definitely the best break down of the this series, sad it ended but glad it did I think Dallas might need to consider moving on from Ben considering how this playoff went (though I hate more than anything to say it) and if we can’t get to or past the WCF next year I think DeBore has probably go to go

  3. Whether you like it or not, you have to appreciate the drive and focus of the Oilers and Hyman isnt going to be on the ice but that's just more fuel for the fire. Lets go Oilers!!!

  4. There is no question, the 2 best teams are in the finals. No flukey series, just domination by both clubs. This rematch is gonna be sick

  5. Do you think ozone time is a valuable indicator of wider control over the game and its pace, as well as longer ozone time increasing the likelihood of a goal being scored

  6. All this series proved is that Dallas is just Carolina of the West. No heart at all. Tired of seeing them hyped up as a cup contender.

  7. at what point this season did Edmonton seem like a much better team than the Stars?
    correct answer: THEY DIDN'T!

  8. I suspect that DeBoer is gonna get some bad karma next season for that "decision". 3 years and the weak Stars defense still can't help Otter win. This has to be the most humiliating of their conference finals losses to date.

  9. watching ottinger get pulled was wild. you made that guy suffer through 6 goals against on sunday just to pull him after 2 facing elimination. not that i’m mad though, lets go oilers

  10. It was quite funny to watch this season and playoffs. I think every round, a majority of the analysts consistently picked against the Oilers. I picked the Oil to win in 6 against LA, I picked a 4-0 sweep against both Vegas and Dallas, which means I was wrong in both instances, but only by 1 game a piece. It seemed pretty obvious to me that the Oilers weren't going to lose much going into the cup finals. Even with Florida's adjustments, I think we are going to see a Oilers victory in 5. Cup Year!

  11. Can you explain/do a video on mismatched teams? Like you say Winnipeg would've matched up better, but why? Dallas beat them so does that mean they were mismatched?

  12. might consider adding a SOG aggregate chart when a series ends – basically a row for each game, SOG for each period, and total, the total it out on an additional row on the bottom of the chart. would be interesting to see, especially when a good player is injured partway through the series, or there's a goalie change, etc.

  13. My only concern about that game is that yes Skinner was good enough because they had 17 shots against, but if that was like game one and they had 30 shots would it have ended like game one as well?

  14. Corey Perry is older, and not the same player he used to be. But people talk about his goal scoring like they forget he used to put up 30+ on a decently regular basis.

  15. Hey Shannon – would love to see you do a video on good coaches that haven't won a Stanley Cup

    Here's a starting list
    Peter DeBoer
    Bruce Bordeau,
    Rod Brindamour,
    Gerard Gallant,
    Alain Vigneault
