  1. Depends on the return. NY needs more guys whose game will translate well in the playoffs. If Cuylle were on another team, would you trade LaFreniere for him?

  2. So if he gets traded, then the Rangers would’ve traded away their 1st and 2nd overall picks? What does that say about the organization?

  3. 23 year old Rick Middleton – 50 points – Traded from New York Rangers to Boston Bruins for Ken Hodge
23 year old Alexis Lafreniere – 45 points – Traded from New York Rangers to ???

  4. Only NYR luck to have the 2nd and 1st overall picks in back to back year's, and come away with 2 meh players… ugh

  5. The thing is this whole roster is infected with cry babies and if you don’t purge everyone it’s will continue to stick around until Panarin Mika krieder keandre miller and laffy and gone

  6. The contract was signed this season but year 1 of that 7 year deal officially starts next season. You forgot the Rangers gave up on 20 goal scorer Brett Howden

  7. You don’t trade a 23 year old potential future star when his value is at its lowest. Dude was their best player in the playoffs last year, this year the team was a mess and the contract got to his head. He’ll be fine, especially with a new coaching staff.

  8. have to keep him and see how he can develop this year. If his development has stalled then we need to ship him away for his own good. Montreal, our out west but we need a very good return. Miller (KA) needs to go for his own good. I can see him in Minnesota… Keep Laffy, deal KA, Keep Kreids as dealing him will not be good for the team . Schneider had a lot of mins last year but for me is a nr 5 or 6 D… nothing more. Fox needs to rebound BIG time… he was weak at best last year.

  9. I wouldn't trade Lafreniere at this point, but I would put him on notice that if he doesn't play better, not only with more points, but with more effort on both ends of the ice, that he will be out the door at the trade deadline.

  10. It’s called due diligence……. It would be a mistake for Drury to not see what he could get in return for Lafreniere and K.Miller. Would Montreal be a good trade partner considering that Gorton drafted both players? I’d be interested in getting the Xhekaj brothers and Josh Anderson in return. This would make the Rangers a much more physical and tough team overnight and Lafreniere is making what those three players combined are making.
