Who Should Dallas Stars Hire As Next Head Coach? | DLLS Stars Podcast
Stars GM Jim Nill announced Friday head coach Pete DeBoer had been fired after three years behind the Dallas bench. Who are some potential replacement for DeBoer? Former Stars defenseman Craig Ludwig & crew take a look at some names.
Bring back Todd Nelson to Dallas as HC. The Stars need a coach who will bring this team together, and it needs a coach who knows how to win championships. Todd Nelson has 3 Calder Cups and was an Assistant in Dallas in 2020 for the Stars Cup Final.
Head coach Steve Ott! Assistant coach Jere Lehtonen! How sweet would that be?! Jere would be great with the Finns, and all forwards especially on the PP…Ott would force toughness, would be a heck of a team! That’s my vote.
Peter Laviolette, John Tortorella, Gerard Gallant, Jay Woodcroft, Steve Ott, Alain Nasreddine, Neil Graham, Karl Taylor, David Carle, ..
"My Choice" ""Peter Laviolette"" If the Stars want a proven coach with a Stanley Cup on his résumé, Laviolette could be a strong candidate. The winningest American-born head coach in league history coached the New York Rangers the last two seasons, leading them to the Presidents’ Trophy and Eastern Conference finals in 2023-24 before missing the playoffs and getting fired in April.
Laviolette has been to three Stanley Cup Finals with three different teams, winning the Cup with the Carolina Hurricanes in 2006 before losing in the fourth round with the Flyers in 2010 and the Predators in 2017. He has more than two decades of head coaching experience in the league.

I think they might go young this time over experience. If they do I'm thinking Neil Graham. If they go experience, I'd like to see Gallant
No to Bruce Boudreau. He is the same as DeBoer. He wins but doesn't win championships
If Steve Spott becomes the HC this team might never score on the PP for the rest of the existence of the franchise
Steve Spott is gone. He goes wherever Pete goes.
Go all in on the denver coach please
Either
Peter laviolette or John torts
Or maybe a coach from ahl coach
