You know what's funny that I never understood – in the last two years, excluding the finals, our toughest series BY FAR was the 7 gamer against Vancouver. So um, lets see, by your logic, you'd rather lose in the playoffs to a LOSER than the eventual Cup champions, right? In fact, you'd want the team that beats you to LOSE right away in the next round. For me – I don't mind losing to the eventual Stanley Cup champions as the Oilers have done the last THREE seasons (Colorado, Vegas, FLorida) – no one else beat them either so it's not like we lost to a LOSER lol.

After the 2024 summer playoff series of Canucks-Oiler, we have Oiler fans ragebaiting Canucks fans all the way till at least Dec 2024 across social media. It was crazy, I have never seen any other fan base do this, for so long after the event. And that series wasn't even all that dirty. I nearly always cheer for any Canadian teams, including the 2006 Oilers. But last year and this year, nope. I just couldn't careless who wins. Because guess what? Let's say the Oiler do win. You really think they will say "Vancouver, come share the happiness with us!". Nope! As expected they will say "Haha Vancouver suckers losers drug addicts LGBTQ, go play your Asian kids table tennis, hockey is a men's sport". Totally trash fanbase in Edmonton.
No kidding. Oilers fan here (since a child). I have cheered for any Canadian team that is left in the finals. Cheered for Calgary in 2004. If Oilers are not playing, I cheer for the Canadian team. I have a Canucks jersey. Its seems small to embrace the 'anyone but [insert]' approach.

Canuck Fan Here. Its not about being a true Canuck Fan. It is standing up for Canada. Theses Edmonton Oilers are fighting for the Stanley Cup to bring back to Canada. They are going against a strong Team with the Referees 'and NHL Association on there side. Stand up and back up the Oiler's we as Canadians need this. Look what the Panthers did to the Toronto Goalie and the referee and player safety committee and NHL did nothing. COME ON OILERS. Great first win
