I could see Jonathan toews singing with Montreal. That’s all that Montreal can get is project players.
No, we don't want aging stars who all of the sudden now want to play for Montreal at the tail end of their career. Been there, done that. In HuGo we trust.
Peŕry is a dinosaur. Toews?
Rangers getting older. Sure that makes sense.
90 seconds on Marchesault and Toews would be great time management.
At least I learned something. Toews speaks French and the Dach connection. My time management is mediocre.
Sérieusement touchez pas à Marchessault
It is very sad that real journalism is the exception rather than the rule. Definitely gratuitous but a deserved gotha. Journalism a lost art, what?
Great show! Marchessault to Montreal makes no sense, I do not like his age, size, contract and attitude … Ehlers would be an interesting fit in Montreal, five years @ $8.5 million/year or 7 years @ $8 million/year with the cap going up significantly in the next few years, the present day value of such a contract is a good deal for the Habs and more than fair for Ehlers … At this point of Toews' career and having not played in two years, a PTO for Toews in Montreal would make sense only if the Habs are not able to find a second line center this summer that is much younger.
We saw how small teams fair in the playoffs. Stay away from small players please.
Why are we talking about Jonathan Toews as a 2C? He isn't coming back as a 2C guys he's 37. He probably wasn't a 2C when he left and I'd be shocked if he comes back better than when he left. But not too long ago on an episode we talked about a need for a Dvo replacement. To me that's where Toews could work. Your left handed center man who could play PK minutes. As you said idk if he's interested in Montreal, but if he is, I think its worth a shot.
Just FYI the podcast version on Spotify seems to be a faulty file or something. It cuts off repeatedly
It use to be that if Montreal could get a player, HABS Nation felt privileged! Now it should be that if HABS Nation signs, drafts or trades for you, it is the player that should feel privileged playing for Montreal. That’s what a winning, well run organization should look/feel like……….
Thompson for Caufield and #17. Do it
I like that your "brand is lame"… I can't stand the offseason…all the silly rumors and youtube videos harping on ridiculous trade "rumors" (usually created by some clown in the habs media) just to get clicks.
First, Montreal just squeezed into the playoffs. They overachieved. This year they won't make it. Slafkovsky if he doesn't have a good FULL season such as 25-30 goals 65-70 points ,he will be traded by 2027 trade deadline
Its attractive when a player wants to come to Montreal. If its so attractive to marchessault why didn't he come in his prime? Now in his twilight of his career, let me go play there so when i retire I can land a job with RDS. Get off the home boy train.
Toews won't come to Montréal. We don't want him anyways.
Lame= different outlook
Who cares if Marchessault “ WANTS” to come to Montreal! He didn’t want to come when he was in his prime so pass imo!
Toews liked Kirby Dach. Wouldn’t he a good influence for Dach?
Suzuki is 225
no aging stars you know why because we've already seen that shit…with the fck leafs from the80s to 2000s how did that work out for them…at this pace the jays are going to win AGAIN before the leafs win a cup….
if the islanders trade dobson tell them to call me i have a great piece of land in Nunavik and a great price on ice….lol
of course Marchessault wants to come to mtl he's at the end of is career and he played on a great team in vegas so he looked good we are not there yet…. why would you want a small team to get smaller
If Marchessault wanted to come to Montreal he should have accepted the offer last year. But now that the Habs have taken a big step forward he wants to come? NTY.
Elias Petterson and #15 for Laine #16 #17 #41#105 and Primeau
Marcheessault saying last year that the pressure in Montreal was too big now he wants to come to us!!!! NOOOO THANKS you had a chance last year!
I like the « realistic » opinion you guy have! X ou Y serait un bon ou un mauvais fite parce que bla bla. C’est pas juste des « j’aimerais ça »
The kind of Brand I like. Honest journalism.
Wait I love suzuki but he does not play "Stronger" than slaf, suzuki barely plays on the boards, watch in the playoffs. Slaf can and has hammered guys and has the ability to work the boards and net front. When Slaf is suzukis age it wont even be close.
You have got nothing, I don't know I ever bother listening to you guys!
I can't figure out why experts and fans alike keep talking about bringing in wingers in the Canadiens top-6. Unless the Habs can move Laine (or buy him out of his last year), they already have all of their top-6 wingers locked for next year: Caufield, Slafkosky, Demidov and Laine. And if you are moving Dach back to be a winger, that is a potential 5th winger for your top 6. So all those rumours about bringing in Marner, Marchessault, Rossi, Ehlers don't make any sense for Montreal right now.
