Most players see these goals and think they’re just quick releases, but what separates elite scorers like Caufield is how he manipulates goalies with skating routes and puck movement.
📌 Against the Blues: He skates diagonally toward the corner, hesitating in a shooting position to subtly change the angle.
📌 Against the Capitals: He skates in a straighter line, pulling the puck outside before releasing it, forcing the goalie to adjust.
These small adjustments completely change how goalies react.
