To me, no matter Oilers lost or win, Pick has elevated to a real NHL goalie, what I meant he is the real guy in this year cup run. The opponent fans keep mocking him as an AHL level, go head and data is not fooling you.

Mark Stone specifically was climbing Mt. McDavid during the 5 minute in open ice when he didn't have the puck. Should have been called, should have been a 5 on 3 which then should have ended the game, which should have then prevented the Arvidsson trip. Just pointing out how non-calls can snowball into further non-calls. Look, Oilers are pretty used to getting the shaft when it comes to the officiating, and yet we are still expected to win hockey games. Play the cards you're dealt, parity, equality and all that will never actually manifest in professional sports, and for all the wrong reasons, so there is no point in losing ones shirt over it. Call it out when you see it, and move on. Vegas better get their heads in the game and stop worrying about what should have been, as they still need to steal at least one at Roger's Place to keep their season going, and if I were them, that would be the narrative in my locker room.
Also, Mr. Stone, aside from that clip of a "dirty" play you did on Heiskanen , there was also Jack Eichel who rode Jack Hughes into the boards and ended his season as well, and he didn't get called on that play either, and he probably should have. Was that a "dirty" play? No? Then don't be tossing rocks in a glass house. I don't think arguing intent here makes much sense unless you want to start arguing intent on those plays either.

Tough debate.. I’ve never seen a professional hockey player try to cross check a puck in mid air, but could have just been a bone head mistake with no intent.
Knowing how inconsistent player safety is, most will be a fine imo.
Vegas fans just need to get over it like Oilers fans have had to do over the years. I still have PTSD regarding Anaheim and playoffs. Freaking worm, but I’m glad he’s on our team now.
Fans – don’t try to be so apologetic about what happened. Trust me, if the shoe was on the other foot, and Vegas won off of a non-call, there would have been no mercy. Not from their fans, not from their media, not from their players, and not from their staff. Things happen, you play the game, you move on.

It was a trip, 100%. It was missed 100%. Not sure if anyone else noticed all the hits and contact to pickard. He even got slew footed. We got a interference for a light touch to Hill. Reffing just sucks all around. Zero consistency.

Speculating on 'what could've happened' is pointless – missed penalties, missed passes, missed shots, puck off post/crossbar etc – can only move forward.

I'm from vegas, don't have a tv, love watching the game time podcast cus you come across so unbiased and don't like players hurt. Too cool! It was completely a missable call by the ref at full speed.
What cracked me up was how guilty your player looked after mcnabb went down and was expecting the call, but then no call came and surprised thought well I guess I should go down ahead down the ice with this.

Arvidson's play was as dumb as many of his (too) many penalties but watching the replay from the camera that shows his face he was clearly acting. He had no injury!

PERHAPS THESE PLAYER SAFETY INCIDENTS SHOULD BE REVIEWED BY A 3RD PARTY ARBITRATOR WITH NON BIAS LEGAL TEAM THAT ACTUALLY REVIEWS SIMILAR INCIDENTS TO MAINTAIN CONSISTENCY.
