Shaun and marco how about montreal gets alex tuch buffalo gets jason robertson and dallas get montreals 17 pick in 2025 and boffalos 1st pick in 2025
I think they may take both picks, 16 and 17 won't get you in the top 10, those 2 picks and any player other than a core guy isn't getting you a 2C, I think HuGo sticks with the plan. Carbeneau,hensler, others with size and grit will be there around 16/17. Hugo will make offers, but i don't think anything major happens
@16 and 17 seems like some serviceable players will still be available. But how about trading Matheson and one or both first round choices for Peterka.
Just wondering. Are there teams that might be in the works for a major UFA (ex.Marner) that would be interested of dropping contracts of a top 6 player that would look to Montreal for first drafts picks and perhaps for a 2C Center.
I would love to grab Bear or Carbonneau and Hensler or Fiddler
what i heard is that dobson wants to play in montreal and that the islanders would trade him with pageau to montreal for mailhoux , struble and the 16 th pick !
Honestly I'm preparing myself for a ho-hum boring draft for Montreal.
It be amazing to get Aitcheson but no way he makes it to 16. He will probably go between 8 and 12.
Get 2 of Bear Carbonneau Spence Lakovic or Martin. Trade up from the 2nd rd to 22nd-25th and grab Fiddler. Trade 2026 1st for Rossi. Sign a RHD. That's it. Start camp.

Cayden Lindstrom played 4 playoff games and got 2 goals and 2 assists. Because of his back injury would you think Columbus would be willing to part with him for the right players.
Take the best players at 16&17.Dont pick for need.Most these guy's will never play in Montreal ,be more trade chips later on.

I’ll be super happy if they draft with both picks. They can also take one of their first and move up with both second rounders. Everything is possible
Thank you Marco for bringing up the need for a continuous flow of prospects into the organisation. Trading a first round pick better net a good player. I am still not enthused about the trade for Newhook. That was a lot of draft capital for him. Bergevin's Dvorak trade was terrible. The gamble for Dach can be said bad trade, but that was a huge chance for a possible huge reward. I think they keep both picks as I don't see any top 2 centers being traded for.
