It doesn't matter right now Marco Sturm or Marco Polo, it'll make no difference whatsoever unless you fix that roster. Scotty Bowman would miss the playoffs with the current collection.

Don't underestimate how fast that hot seat gets hot. If they make poor roster choices and this club starts to tank again, the management MO is to quickly shift blame.

A good choice for Head Coach. Bruins now have a VERY young roster (on average, relative to the other NHL rosters). Marchand and Coyle are gone. The OLDEST players on the roster are Hampus Lindholm (31), Korpisalo (31), Zadorov (30), Elias Lindholm (30), and Pastrnak (29).
Everyone else is 24 to 28 years old; this is a YOUNG roster, and that scenario calls for a Head Coach that can handle a younger, less-experienced roster.
Sturm isn’t a guarantee, but no coach ever really is… I think he’s a good hire; let’s see what he can do.

Don Sweeney is the Teflon Don
I've been hearing from friends in the know that Bergeron is friends with Sturm amd he maybe coming on as a assistant coach.
Also was told Sullivan wanted to come to Boston but was not happy with the Sweeney situation amd Bruins would not match the Rangers offer.
DeBoer did a good job with young guys in Dallas. His son plays at Holy Cross….maybe he'd have been interested

At least Marco Sturm is a fresh set of eyes on this organization. They need outside resources.
Compulsive contrarianism is bad, actually. I can tune into radio if for some godforsaken reason I need a fix of that. I'm with Evan–there's reason to be optimistic. And thank god we didn't bring in Torts or Lav or some nonsense. This guest doesn't sound like he's very tuned into hockey; his takes are in line with casual reddit whinging.

Not a lot of Bruins news here in Aus so you guys are my life line for hockey.
Love the Sturm hire. Kelly needs to go, has done nothing for us in the past few years in my opinion. Hopefully Sturm brings in his choice of assistant coaches.
