Jake Oettinger on getting pulled in Game 5.

  1. Wasnt his fault … where was his defence .. and that slow line change? My oilers took it to desmith too

  2. Jake feel for you man….I watched you pretty much beat my flames team on your own a few years back….lots of character….you'll be around beating all my canadian faves for a long time man…

  3. Nothing to be embarrassed about, young man. You're a stud, your team defence was just out matched and left you out to dry.

  4. At some point DeBoer has to be the bigger man here and admit he was wrong if they plan to move forward on the same team .

  5. DeBoer let his emotions get in the way of coaching. The one who should be embarrassed is the coach. They were down 2, bad start sure, but not the end of the series, going to DeSmith, no offense was a stupid, impulsive move. I'm an Oilers fan, not gonna argue with the outcome, but if that was our coach I'd be calling for him to be fired.

  6. Handled it so well despite how deboer talked about him.. that being said I’m a sharks fan and deboer is not the right coach to win a cup or meaningful games

  7. Embarrassed!? No reason for that! Otter was hung out to dry with no help from ANYONE! Defense sucked and not even sure Stars knew that the object was to take a shot and find the net! I think Pete probably heard me screaming from Indiana!! Keep your head up Jake!!

  8. Dallas and Oettinger unfortunately always choke against the Oilers. They will never win anything if they have to go through EDM. Other teams, sure, Dallas can beat but like the Kings, the Stars choke. The Avs could beat the Oilers as they have their number but Dallas has the Avs number so y'all just beat each other so that EDM can advance. The Avs swept the Oilers in the playoffs and they would have beat them this time too if not for losing to Dallas and 2 OT games.

  9. As an oiler fan, I felt bad for Otter. Bonehead move by Deboer. Had he stayed in, Dallas could have still won that game. He really thought DeSmith had a better chance to win over Otter? Ridiculous decision and could have gone to game six where anything could have happened.

  10. Pulling your world class goalie, arguably one of the best in the world, in the first 10 minutes of an elimination game has to go down in history as one of the worst coaching decisions in hockey. He has nothing to be embarrassed about. 31 other NHL clubs will happily accept your services!
