It is brilliantly subtle play by 97. Notice that at 0:32 he takes the puck on the backhand. At 0:34, it looks like a fake, but he is actually directing the other players to hold back a bit. He carries it over the blue line and throws it back at 0:36. He is under the circle waiting for the pass at 0:38 and brings the puck almost behind the net and then tosses it to the pinching D at 0:40.
