The Vancouver Canucks are in the market for a second line center man to play below Elias Pettersson, could Marco Rossi be that guy, and what would they have to give up to acquire him in a trade?

  1. Hey Deaner. Glad you're talking about it.

Has the desire for size left with Tocchet, or does it remain as one of management's core policies?

You're right in emphasizing weaknesses at center. Especially the physical aspect. Yes, Centers are pricey. Centers with size and skill, even more so. But will adding a 5'9" guy up the middle give us a competitive edge?

    No.

But it may be the only thing they can afford… unless they offer up something of even greater value.

Will this be the time where we see Quinn Hughes admire his…..

    new New Jersey jersey?

    😂

    Cheers Deaner.

  2. He could be the 2nd if we get rid of petey. Otherwise he is our third line at best. We need grit and size for the second line.

  3. I feel like Rossi wouldn’t be an awful pick up.. still young and the coach doesn’t seem to trust him. Canucks should take a chance on him! He’s at the age where he can break out and a change of scenery may just be what he needs !

  4. Rossi is undersized, hopefully sign Bennett or get necas cheap from Colorado since he doesn't want to stay and they only got 1.2 mill cap space, probably a 4th and a bit grade prospect but only if he signs

  5. When I hear little small, I think about how well Ronning did for the Canucks, and he wasn't a big player either. For me it is a tossup, but I wouldn't want to give up our prospects on a young player in a key role.

  6. McTavish and Peterka both look like much better trade options for the Canucks imo. I don’t even slightly care about giving up our first and we desperately need both a top line winger and a 2C.

  7. Great. Another wee-man. Put him out there with Garland and Hoglander and REALLY make a statement. SMH

  8. I’d only take him if the pro scouting were absolutely sold on him being a long term 2C- can play playoff hockey, win puck battles, get to the center of the ice etc
