First of all, Muse likely wouldn't have been hired at all if Crosby wasn't ok with it. I know he doesn't like to meddle, but I'm sure he would have made it known if he didn't like the hire.
I think this hiring might finally convince Crosby, Malkin, Letang and Karlsson to give up the ghost and move on thus allowing the Penguins to move them for prospect and draft capital in order to do a proper rebuild. They really should have done this 3 – 4 years ago.
One of the largest problems with Sullivan, and it has been for years, is that he didn't want to bring in the younger guys. Anytime a player would be called up from AHL, he'd be sent down within days even if he was producing. Now, is that saying this guy is better, no clue, but no one considered Bylsma as an NHL head coach before he was hired and he did well for a while in Pitt.

Crosby still playing at an elite level is actually hurting the Pens, he drags them up to almost respectability instead of them picking in the Top 5 as they should be, thus delaying the rebuilt.
Crosby should take the trade to Vegas. At half salary for 2 years, he is worth a small fortune, and that is exactly what the Penguins need in the McKenna lottery. Mario, take it down. The re load starts at the draft. 🎭
