Jonathan Toews is looking to make his comeback to the NHL for the 2025-2026 season. I believe Toews would be an EXCELLENT addition for the NJ Devils. This guy has done it all and won it all in hockey. The New Jersey Devils MUST be in on Jonathan Toews!

Ace, our window is just opening with our youth. By adding Toews, this team gets older and Im afraid it would shorten our bright future, which may make us have to shift to win now mode.

Of course Toews makes perfect sense for NJ.
However NJ is saddled with trash GM 'Booze Face" Fitz. 🤡 Fitz cant make this happen no way. Fitz is the guy who overpaid to sign every single free agent and the same GM who fails every deadline.
NJ unfortunately won't be a legitimate contender until Fitz is fired 🔥
In my opinion Fitzy fucked this team hard by signing Kovy to the deal he got. That extra 4 million would be great to put towards better forwards.
No way. Too old with injury issues. He was great when he was young and healthy, but not for the Devils with our issues.
It would be weird to me if he signed anywhere other than Chicago. Doesn't hurt to try though.
Why is this so hard to understand. Retreads like Toews and Taylor Hall are good additions to teams that have a solid foundation. WE NEED MEN in our core. The Leafs just announced that they will be changing the DNA of their core, they finally get it. The leafs are a look into the crystal ball for us.

Personally, and separately, I think we should send Mercer and Casey a first or second for Jacob Robertson, AND side note he’s played three straight regular seasons without missing a game

I would love to have him but I can’t see him wanting to make his comeback with the Devils. We haven’t shown we are ready and able to win a Cup. I’ll bet he goes with an Original 6 team or a team that made it to the second round of the playoffs this year.
