  1. Newhook is garbage. Anyways, can we not ship a piece in the farm and trade our 2 first for the exact center you want in the league? I just don’t understand picking if you are not picking Desnoyer fr.. guys our players are going to a year older, another step in the right direction. I just thinking picking 16 and 17th we are not getting one of those guys for 3 years and we have 2 years of Demidov on the cheap. Let’s gooo
You guys and the Sick. Are the boysss

  2. I think Rossi is good but I’d rather they pursue Kuznetsov on a 1 year deal and see if he can ignite a line with Laine and Demidov.

  3. Give me a guy that is 6-2 than can convert. We need a guy who will survive a playoff run. Not saying Rossi wouldn't, but the odds are better with a bigger center position. We thought/hoped it was Dach, but Kirby seems to be made of glass.

  4. how would Alex Tuch fit in montreal for you guys , the price is good the size is great and we would have the tuch brothers and the xhekaj brothers , hmmmm maybe yes or no ?

  5. If in 2 months Slafkovsky is moved off the first line, he'll be missing in action all year.

  6. Rossi could be an option if there was a beast of a right shot to play with him and Demidov

Unless Dach uses his size and snarl I don’t see a gritty enough top 6 to do much in playoffs

Laine certainly wouldn’t be the guy to put there …

Still think Duchene would my number 1 UFA option at 2C that won’t break the bank nor block youth long term.

  7. Trade Slaf for 4th overall with Mammoth. Draft Desnoyers for 2nd line C. Put Rossi on the wing on the top line.

  8. Jeff Gorton has said it more than once, more than once , that the habs have to get bigger…. So I know there are few good topics out there but here is my view…. No more talking, or drafting or trading for anyone under 6-0 +/-205 pounds. … So Rossi, Ealers, Marchessault, Barzal, are non starters….. Talk to us about Mactavitch … Zacha … Thompson …. Robertson ….Byfeild … Forsbergh …. Strome …. Vilardi …. Protas …. Horvat … Knies …. Meir ….

  9. Trade with Vancouver

    Laine
    Newhook

    For

    Dakota Joshua
    Brock Boeser signing rights ( sign 8 x 7.5 (+/-)
    2026 2nd
    2027 3rd

Van can use Laine scoring / PP sniper with Boeser gone

I’d prefer Boeser over Laine culture and character fit wise would be great on line 2 and PP2 could easily slide in for Caufield in case of injury

Newhook would bring Van much needed foot speed. Sell them on that not the finishing.

Joshua 6’3” 206lbs would bring Montreal much needed size & grit at forward for middle 6 wing, can also play some centre if needed…

can’t have just Andersson doing it all year.

Laine may be big but he doesn’t play like it. Boeser may not be much faster than Laine but he knows where to be on the ice and he isn’t stationary

Don’t really need to trade to get Boeser who is a UFA but need to make the room….

    Just a Hockey trade

Honestly would just look to swap out :

    Newhook
    Laine
    Matheson

    For

    Grit
    Size
    Solid RHD depth

Whether in trades or by opening up chairs for players in Laval.

  10. Yurov is the second line center going forward, can’t pay fourth liner the money Rossi wants, thanks for the Canadian update.

  11. He is not Tage Thompson. Uh Earth to Starr, not many centers are Tage Thompson’s size at 6’6. What a 🤡 comment.
