The city of Philadelphia has grown impatient with the Philadelphia Flyers. The team hasn’t made any noise since 2012 and fans are expecting changes. Luckily, with all the talent the team has and the new additions for the 2019-2020 season, fans should be optimistic. This upcoming season looks to be a promising one for the boys in orange and black and they will be looking to break out of their shell of mediocrity and prove that they have what it takes. Things are looking good… except the PP
UPDATE AFTER SEASON: season was a success, but they playoffs weren’t. they didn’t really “win” any games as much as they survived them. still, playing at your worse when your top players don’t show up and still being one game away from the ECF? pretty impressive. i truly believe there would be a different outcome if they didn’t take 6 months off and lose all their momentum. as much as i would like to free up cap space and get a goal scorer, im actually confident that this team can build their confidence over an 82 game season and our stars will show up in the playoffs because they didn’t take 6 months off in between. still, if we could just get a natural goal scorer, i would not be opposed. i believe our next few playoff runs will be a lot more successful & will also have more fun flyers hockey than this one had. they just looked dead.

The 2012 series against the Penguins was the best series I've ever seen. 6 crazy games that are all rewatchable. One of the best series ever for sure, and Giroux's goal less than a minute into game 6 was great
