  1. it's more of an ownership issue than a coach issue. He's got a hand tied behind his back because the owner has a reputation of not paying players. so naturally people don't want to go there. It's like that last 2% you need to get over the hump.

  2. Rod is the reason the arena is sold out every game. He bleeds canes blood. He is the best thing to happen this franchise period.

  3. Yes, Rod is great. But he still needs to improve in some ways, and that shouldn't be lost in all of this.

  4. Why are people even talking about this? Rod is a huge reason they made it as far as they did. Moving on from Rod is just stupid!

I think people really take for granted how Rod turned a team that went from missing the playoffs for nearly a decade to going to the playoffs and winning at least one round for seven straight season. AND how long he has been with the team sine NHL coaches seem to stay with teams for a pretty short amount of time. Of course everyone wants the Hurricanes to finally at least get to the Stanley Cup Final, but we are so lucky to have the team we have now and some other fans would DO ANYTHING for this!
