Ray helped to lift the curse of Boston sports! What a memory!
That still is up there with the rest of Boston sports moments even though technically it wasn't Boston.
So glad that ray ended up lifting Lord Stanley.
I never thought of that. Like i realized Brady stopped three teams from repeating at the SB starting with his first SB.
I HOPE THEY DO THIS FOR MARCHY TOO
It was still weird for a former player and another team's win to be celebrated in Boston.
Are they going to do it for Marchand if he wins too?
I feel like this is the only time doing something like this wasn’t weird. Ray lifting the cup was a top 10 moment in hockey history
Holy shit you got captain Boston on the show!!! He will always be my fav player of all time. My brothers did the Bruins camp during his rookie year and he gave us his autograph. Even have the picture of Rick Middleton holding me as a little little guy. Hope you get to ask him about his singing stories and also about the hats he had made up for the cup winning team (before they won).
Oh dear God Ray is old, which means I’m old…
Wow. It was an amazing time in Boston. Championships everywhere, for a few years. Glad Ray was part of it. What about Neely, Moog? Edelman is killing it with his podcast.
Totally tracks that Ray is arrogant enough to take credit for Boston’s title runs. Dudes an asshole and so are his kids
Imagine actually thinking this had any effect on any team winning anything
What’s the background story of this? Can someone explain
Harry Sinden said it was embarrassing what Ray did.
Well, Harry, who's fault is that?
Boston ROYALTY
so he's saying he loosened the pickle jar?
So it wasn’t the Magic of Tom Brady?
Bruins bribed the refs in 2011, one day the investigation will be undertaken, and the Canucks will be awarded the cup
I went it was awesome
I remember being elated for him and happy he visited us with the cup and we got to celebrate him. At the same time it was depressing that this is the closest we're getting to a championship any time soon. Then like he said, things changed drastically. First 20 years of my life I didn't see much, then 20-40 was the exact opposite. Well there were the Celtics run in the 80's but I was still real young and didn't watch yet.
I can still remember watching that Colorado and Dallas series, every Boston Bruins fan was rooting for Colorado. I was so happy to get to see him lift that cup, seems like yesterday!!!
