I’m a canes fan and I’m absolutely pissed at Trouba. The nhl should punish things like that flying elbow aimed at necas’ head. I don’t care if he didn’t make content he had intent of extreme harm and has connected on hits like this before. He should be suspended and fined for very long times for the repeat action of this. His hits are extremely dangerous.
If you were a true captain, you would of benched yourself against the Panthers last year. You had a broken ankle and sucked. You should of seen that and sat yourself.
I still dont know what he was thinking on that play against the Panthers. He went out of his way to try to hit the guy without the puck and missed him anyway…
I think overall Trouba was a good player for NY, but his playing just didnt match the cap hit and they needed the room, that simple. They had to do something and they did. Player agents work out the contracts, so they know there are some loopholes and ways to force a trade. Not to infringe on a players rights but it is a business and sometimes you get a little blood on your hands to ensure the teams future success. He's making millions in sunny SoCal anyway…I thnk he will survive…
