It's a disgrace that the Illitch family has not retired Sergei's (Fedorov) number 91. They are as ridiculous as it gets. If Fedorov doesn't get his number retired, Stevie Y shouldn't have his retired either.
I agree, our goalies need to step up. The problem is we don’t have a defensive corps that will help our goalies. We have Seider. Edvinsson absolutely needs to step up. 6th overall pick, he has to live up to those expectations. He’s big, he has a good shot, he needs to work on that first pass that springs our fowards. Holl is shit, Petry is shit. People rag on Ben Chariot, but he’s doing more than what’s asked of him because our defensive corp is that bad. We need his toughness though. I don’t mind Ben. Steve knows exactly what we need, how we get what we need is the hard part. Steve’s conservative approach to the salary cap is smart. He wants long term flexibility. He wants options. If you guys want blockbuster trades it will cost us guys like Danielson, Kasper and maybe one of our goalie prospects. If we trade for a top defenseman it will probably cost us Edvinsson. It’s not as easy as NHL 24 GM mode, lol.
