No chance he gets offer-sheeted. 2 firsts, a second, and a 3rd is a steep cost for any RFA and the oilers will match anyone who tries to do anything less than 10mil AAV

Letting him go for the picks would work if they had signed Broberg ang Holloway instead of paying arvidsson and skinner to sit in the press box
I mean what's stopping the Hawks or Sharks for giving him a ridiculously high contract even for a couple years to either pry him out of there or to handcuff the oilers?

Looking at the short term, barring any trades, the Oilers have a projected cap space of just over $9.6M for next season. There will be six roster spots to fill. Is this close to being correct?

Obviously the Oilers wouldn’t use the draft picks to draft. They would use the haul to bring in another player. I’m not concerned about it either way. Is the new GM of the NYI gonna turn down 2 firsts + for Dobson? Or some other team? I highly doubt that.
