  1. I remember bringing this exact idea of a Demko trade up to my brother when I was visiting him during Christmas. He thought I was crazy, but fast forward 6 months and here we are.

  2. I would rather trade Lanks. And Yes he does have a NMC on his new deal but it kicks in after July 1 so you can trade him at the draft. Demko’s ceiling is how you get to a cup you ride or die with him.

  3. It like this. If Canucks sign Demko, Lankinen will be moved. If Lankinen stays Demko will be moved. Philly will grab Suter as they need one more centre . Demko would shore Philly's goal. Most needed fix in Philly. One first round pick might be on Canucks.

  4. Demko loves Vancouver and he said that a few weeks ago
Not many star players do these days
He wants to resign here and i hope he does for about $5.5 MILL X 4
Hes TOP 3 in the League when healthy
Lankinen isnt…Lankinen got Overpayed for one good year
Maybe even a Flukey year (Hope not)
Too bad they cant trade Lankinen
He has a no trade for 2 years
His agent did a great job getting him that much Money and Term
Alviin needs to be fired for the Miller trade and the Petey Signing of $11.6 Mill

  5. Dave must not have watched the Demko interview from 3 weeks ago…
He doesnt want to go anywhere else
Silovs need to work on his point shots
    Horrible last year!!

  6. This is the most Vancouver thing ever. Trade your #1 Vézina caliber goalie and bring in the young hot shot. It’s such a continuous cycle haha. If they can get a decent return for Demko I’d probably do it in a heart beat. Lankinen/Silovs could probably handle it especially with a strong defense. Also, I bet Vancouver drafts a goalie in one of the higher rounds this year that will be Silovs replacement in a few years.

  7. Meh we need to focus on major traffic and chaos in front of the opponents net, that and pucks on net will win games. Gola tending is fine as is as long as defence does thier job.

  8. if they trade Demko…. this will be like the Cam Neely trade all over again… Watch and then you'll see a HEALTHY DEMKO…. SILOVS IS NOT NHL GOALTENDER AND LANKS IS NOT READY FOR THAT YET…. GIVE ME A BREAK… UNLESS WE GO AFTER BINNINGTON….

  9. No, until silovs can prove himself in the regular season and earn some solid wins in the nhl, you cant trade demko

  10. What a mess with Vancouver….they have a bunch of good sniper, all gone. They have a lot of playmaker……all gone. A tons of Leader, all gone. They have the best Coach, gone too. And now they want trade Demko ???!!!! Why not, trade Hughes too while we're at it. IF you want To cite an example of how to destroy an organization, Vancouver is the best.

  11. This would be the best news ever and something that I have predicted, Demko and Garland both need to go. Like they need to be out and gone yesterday.

  12. fake news, this is literally the first I have heard of this… he knows he doesnt have much value league wide, so do the canucks, his best shot is to show the league what he can do this year and rebuild his value, him and his agent have made multiple pitches this season about wanting to sign long term here… either he knows he may now physically stand up, or he really wants to sign here, either way management needs to get the number right

  13. He’s not capable of carrying the load over the course of a season. He’s trade bait and that’s it.

  14. Good management will float his name and raise prices. I think between Silovs/Lanki/Demko you can pick 2 and call yourself a "playoff team". Demko (if healthy) you can say makes you a contender.

I would only move for a 1st + Goalie Prospect. a 2nd is not worth it. 1st we can turn into roster player, prospect fills the pipeline.

  15. Send Demko to Chicago and
Hughes in a 3 way deal with NJ that brings Bedard home and NJ sends players to CHI. Rumors in Chicago that he isn't happy there. Maybe a 3 way trade between NJ CHI and VAN?

Also JAMIE BENN Is a BC boy and a Free Agent…we need his grit
