  1. I bet he says the same thing all canadiens say
if you say it long enough surely you’re bound to get one right eh

  2. I’m worried this one won’t be close. The way I see it is it’s the same matchup last year that favors Florida based on how the teams played.

Edmonton was able to get back into that series largely because McDavid and co were able to establish their speed and grinded everything they had in them to force 7. This time around even with Leon playing as well as he has this year and postseason I think Florida will be able to slow him down.

That’s what Florida does, they shut down opposing super stars. Unless McDavid becomes a god and in doing so unlocks the Leon to not be covered as hard and do his thing I can’t see Edmontons top 6 doing as much this go around.

You can argue that Edmontons depth will show up and sure I expect them to be good this series but Florida depth is simply better. They aren’t just better defensively they are better offensively.

Finally it’s simply that Florida current roster in these finals are almost certainly better then last years, while Edmonton’s is worse.

Hockey magic is always possible, and I hate the Panthers with a passion, but I see this as Florida in five. Justifying putting it any higher in my head feels like more wish fulfillment rather than logical thinking. I’m shocked to say this because it’s never been the case before but I’m probably gonna watch the NBA finals over the Cup finals this year. These were the most disappointing playoffs of my life.

  3. Mcdavid wants it bad. This could be the year he finally wins one with Leon. Florida is a train at full speed with a better team all around

  4. Toronto pushed them to 7 this year. The Oilers did it last year in an almost unbelievable way.

The Oil can do it. It won't be easy but they will do it.

  5. All I can think about is how such a horrendous gm and incompetent management let holloway go for scraps. And they're going to be rewarded with a cup…

  6. The first game will be about who can shake off the rust the fastest and after that it'll be about who can injure as many of the opposition as possible.

  7. I'm an Oilers fan but I've never seen a Canadian team win the Cup in my lifetime. Even last year when they came so close, the idea of them winning seemed very strange and foreign to me. I don't think that will change until they actually win it, and even then it will take some time to sink in.

  8. McDavid is going to be a man possessed, even more so than he already is. Rooting for the Oilers but the Panthers are the champs for a reason, that is an incredibly deep hockey team that honestly looks better than last year. I just hope it’s a long competitive series.

  9. Loved you in the old tv show Sliders but just because you can act doesn’t mean you’re good at predicting. Betting 29 & 97 will lose a consecutive Stanley Cup final to me is nuts. Not when you see the past two series. NO WAY Florida beats Edmonton for the cup this year.

  10. Well the gods are on the side of mcdavid as per years of hockey tradition of touching the finals cup. If the hockeys gods are in your favor then your chances are good.
