What must happen for Quinn Hughes to be eligible to play in 4 Nations final?

Though Quinn Hughes has been tabbed as an injury replacement for the United States of America at the 4 Nations Face-Off, it’s unlikely he will play unless Team USA suffers another injury or illness on their blueline. TSN’s Claire Hanna joins SC with Jay Onrait to discuss exactly what would need to happen for Hughes to be eligible to play in the 4 Nations Face-Off final versus Canada.

  1. Spending a lot of time on this… 1) He was just practicing TODAY in Vancouver wearing a "no contact" jersey…. he will not be playing a full contact highly aggressive game! 2) USA needs to lose another d-man by thursday… so super shady if all of a sudden a miracle sickness befalls one of the remaining players

  2. I'll ride with who we have…already beat you in the Bell. BUT…its so Canadian to NOT allow a world class defenseman to play in a mid season exhibition tournament…I know it's been tough with Latvia and WJC…but really??? Exhibition tournament??? "League Rules" how many non Canadians were in that decision

  3. Canada message to the USA should be, play whoever you want, we're still going to pound you out first at center ice, then we're going win the game.

  4. Getting ready for the biggest game in Four Nations history… well ya I guess since it’s the first four Nations tournament.

  5. Quinn Hughes quit on his country. He could’ve played on Thursday, but didn’t want to travel. What a joke. I hope he never gets a USA sweater. And his brother is on the team. Just terrible. Will never support or be a fan of Quinn Hughes.
