No 8 will always have a special place in my heart. When we needed a star player to commit to the club, BB came through without hesitation. He is a real star and an unbelievably professional. I wish we would extend him another year and show him a perspective in the club after he is done playing. I get it, he has reached a certain age and stuff but … Maybe the no 96 experience is still fresh in my mind and here we have a world class act player who plays his butt off night after night. We love you Brent Burns ❤ you are the best !!!

He still has 2nd or even 3rd line minutes in him. Hope we can bring him back for a 1 year deal, even if he plays less.
Burns has been a great player for us keep him until he retires he is a Hurricane and can still contribute.
Even at his age, idk if it's possible to find a better guy to fit in the 2nd or 3rd pair. But I'd like to see someone else on the 1st pair with Slavin. Burns is infinitely impressive, playing 20+ minutes at his age. Him at reduced time would be probably his best

Love burns, got to meet him and he signed my wife’s jersey. Super down to earth and willing to take time for the fans. Just a guy you wanna be around. I hope he stays, but he can’t be our top line right hand D man. Let him play in the third pair and we need to go get a top offensive right shot to play with Slavin. I wish burns still had the offense in him; but it’s not there. But in a reduced role he could still be a great asset to this team and locker room.
I still think he has a lot to contribute to this team.

I would like nothing more than to see Burnzie raise the cup with the Canes. A question of whether he should keep getting top line minutes with Slavo is one thing, but in my opinion, signing him to another year or two should not be. Especially if he takes a team friendly deal
