  1. Carolina did not disrespect Rantanen. He said he would not sign an extension with them so Carolina traded him to a team that Rantenan would sign longer term with – ultimately that was showing him respect. The fact he had a hatty in game 7 is immaterial, it is nothing more than his skills showing up in the game. Your headline and entire story is just click bait.

  2. Give me a break with this disrespect BS. They offered him up to 12.5mil AAV. He signed for 12mil in Dallas. COL has a 4% state income tax, Dallas has a 0% state income tax.

Want to know what 4% of 12mil is? 480k. He signed in Dallas for the same fucking money COL offered him.

He went quiet in negotiations with COL and they were worried about being too top heavy, getting bounced again, and losing him for nothing. And then he went to CAR, was offered 12-14mil again, went quiet, they panicked and dealt him.

If he wanted to stay, maybe he should have told his agent to not nitpick for more money and go silent. Just to accept the same money he was being offered anyway.

  3. i think Pettersson in Vancouver is of similar nature to Raantanen. His offensive game took a nose dive under Tocchet’s system. with speedy and skilled winger, he will regain his offensive game.

  4. Just imagine if carolina and dallas are the teams for the final. And he gets another hatty to put carolina away.

  5. Ts getting blown out of proportion lmao. Hes good but god damn the mfs saying best playoff performance ever just shows how low IQ the nhl fans are lol

  6. Most of the critics during the whole trade fiasco didn't seem to realize the Moose has been well above a PPG player his whole career…

  7. Greetings from Helsinki, Finland. Thank you a very good video and very good analysis to Rantanen. BTW, Esa Tikkanen is a most underrated player in Edmonton Oilers…

  8. You see, it takes good teamspirit to get best out of best. Dallas knows it, thats why theres many Finns in the team. He needed his countrymen.

  9. Rants is a perfect example of what Toronto needs: Playoff power. Its great to score in regular season, but to be over a point per game in playoffs over many many many long post seasons tells something about MIkko and his star power

  10. We've all seen Rantanen be the best player in the world. Its hard to maintain that on Colorado team, but here in Dallas , where nobody is selfish and puck dominant, he's free to showcase the unbelievable skills hes been hiding.

  11. Great video… As a Finn cant help but wonder… If Laine could do all The same shit Rantanen does😭

  12. Oh please…. The Avs didn't disrespect him. If anything, he disrespected them by being so stubborn about his demands. He refused to budge from 13 milllion. He didn't even tell them he'd settle for the 12 million he eventually got from Dallas.
And based on his performances in the previous two playoffs with the Avs, when they were bounced by friggin' Seattle and by Dallas, he wasn't even worth the 12 million.
If the Avs had paid him what he demanded, they probably would still have lost to Dallas this playoff because they would still have had the depth problem that plagued them the previous two. And don't forget that that series was very close. A couple of breaks the Avs way and they would have won.
Sure, he got that hatty in game 7, but one was a lucky bounce off clumsy Girard's skate and the other a meaningless empty netter at the horn.

  13. I will still disrespect him. Imo hes way too overrated and i personally asbolutely hate him. He is the only Fin player i dont like. Arrogant and just a fool. Granlund is the GOAT Fin for me.

  14. Us Texans are THRILLED and THANKFUL for all the Finnish nationals we have on our team. WIthout these special men, we wouldn't be such a dominant team. Thank you Finland 🇫🇮

  15. Mikko’s “revenge tour for the ages” is a bunch of manufactured drama. He had a streak of good luck for a couple games…now he’s back to doing nothing, and the Stars are getting destroyed by the Oilers again.

  16. I still can’t believe that we, yes, I live in Colorado traded him away. The absolute worst trade this team has ever made.

  17. “When you disrespect an NHL superstar”

Well they’re doing it again and he’s got a whole offseason to reload and shut em up
