The New York Islanders have signed Kyle Palmieri & Adam Boqvist to new contracts, how smart is this?

  1. Good move. Let’s not throw out the baby with the bath water. The new assistants. Some good health and a dose of new prospects and some sage free agent signings will turn things around. Patience is a virtue. Act in haste repent at leisure.

  2. Hopefully Palms will have value left when he gets traded. I think Lee or JGP need to go this offseason, but it will probably take until the deadline.

  3. Signing kyle is very confusing and disappointing. NTC clause makes no sense. It's hard to understand what darche is trying to do

  4. Signing a useful middle six to reasonable middle six money isn't a problem. Boqvist gets slightly more than the minimum for seventh defenseman role…also not a problem.

  5. Good to see Roy get a chance to stay longer. Let's see if the players respond. They may not be the best team but they can make it difficult for teams to play against them. Sorkin could be the key if he stays healthy.

  6. The Bovquist signing is a good deal. I wasn’t too keen on Keeping Palmiere but at the AAV with only a 2 year term, hopefully there is not a no movement clause & maybe they can move him out in a trade. He’s decent point wise but his age is a concern

  7. I heard Palms has full no-trade this season and modified 16 team, in last year of deal. Lou salting the Earth on way out. These are deals we heard at deadline. These are NOT Darche deals.
