Kulak puck over glass, no call – Tough Call Review
Brett Kulak appears to have gotten away with a puck over glass delay of game penalty. The Oilers scored two goals in the following 46 seconds and never looked back.
Question? It looks like the Puck goes off the netting and then out into the crowd. Is that a penalty? I thought if it hits the netting or anything it's not a penalty… Honest question
Not to be that guy but Oilers fans hung up on game 1 saying stuff like they don’t call stuff when Dallas does it will completely overlook something like this.
To me, watching closely frame by frame, it looks like it might have deflected off of the Dallas skate that kicks out in the last moment the puck is released. And judging by the angle of Kulak's stick blade and the trajectory of the puck, I believe it's reasonable to think that's what happened. And the refs need conclusive evidence to change the call (or non-call) on the ice. That evidence just wasn't there in my opinion.
I mean there were a lot of bad calls this game, I don't think you can blame the game on this one missed call. Missed calls happen, its unfortunate but part of the game. You can't say the refs are siding with the Oilers after Rantenen got a penalty for high sticking himself lol.
Considering it’s only challengable if they call the penalty, the penalty should be the default if you aren’t sure and give time for the penalized team to decide if they want to challenge.

I hope they start taking advantage of the puck-tracking technology one day. A lot of these over-the-glass calls could be definitive.
Once again a game where refs just hand the win to Oilers. Just like always 🙂
It was a missed call, however, shortly after Kapanen went to the box because Rantanen high sticked himself. Things sort of even out eventually.

Eh Dallas is getting off a suspension on a clear cut headshot, dotn give a shit.
Oilers priority needs to be winning, but if they are up 3 plus I’d take a few runs at petrovic and bichel
7 Missed calls including a double minor for high sticking. Refs handed this game to EDM.
2 goals in that time frame does not even it out
Dirty hack on Hintz injured ankle. Really low and very intentional. Hate that hockey
