What about a sign and trade with Hofer and bringing up Colten Ellis? He played 42 games for Springfield with a 2.63 GAA and a .922 Save Percentage. He'd be cheaper, and we should be able to get someone pretty good for Hofer considering how well he played. This would open up some cap space to sign Fowler. All due respect to Suter, but he was a healthy scratch in the playoffs. The Blues are trying to get younger and quicker. Suter is solid, but slow. Yes, Fowler is older, but he played so well that I believe he's worth it.
Simple, if you want to keep Hofer you match the offer sheet, you will find out his worth quickly.
Unless that offer sheet was for starter money, I’d resign him. No question.
You have a number in mind. If the offer comes in higher than that, you take the draft pick and go with Ellis
No on Suter. Wait until trade deadline to move Hofer. Someone may be desperate for a goalie.
