I was hoping for an Oilers / Leafs final. They didn’t just let you Toronto fans down, they let down every Canadian that wanted to see them loose to the Oilers in the final. I’m from out west and think Toronto is a great city and you deserve better than what they’ve given you.
Penguin fan here my heart is absolutely freaking pretty you guys like you would think by now they will at least got to a conference final with this core. They need to completely tear it all down, but unfortunately, with what Matthews and Nylander are signed for that’s gonna be next to impossible to do. The worst part about it is that Marner could have been treated and by now what you would’ve got for him could be reaping the benefits, but instead, Shanahan couldn’t break up the core 4 and he most likely will never have a front office job again anywhere
Typical Leafs fan. Sore losers that are unable to recognize they are part of the problem. They gleefully support the team during the regular season. Rejoice with every win. Brag. Mock the teams they beat. Then abandon their team at the first sight of trouble. For example in game 5 of this series. They hadn’t lost the series yet but had to boo the players. News flash – that’s not being supportive. That’s putting maximum pressure on the players. The team had a successful season. They were in the final 8 of a 32 team league. It seems entirely lost on the Leafs fan base that only one team wins the cup. The worst fans in sports – bar none. Next year they’ll be cheering every win again.
I saw the Leafs win the Stanley Cup when I was 5 (last time they made it to the Stanley Cup Final) I doubt I’ll be witnessing that again in my lifetime but I wish the younger generations best if luck to witness it, it’ll be the Parade of the Century. Marner should have waived his no trade clause and we could have had Rantanen, whom might have pushed us past Florida, then we would have met Marner now against Carolina but hey, he’s got a chance at Free Agency right??
I’ve been heartbroken and disappointed by these guys quite a lot,but never been angry. I mean really angry. That’s a first. Wouldn’t throw my jersey on the ice but can understand those who did.
Wendel Clark and Doug Gilmore sure they had grit and could fight both had heart but you know what they have in Comeon with this current team? They are both losers. I’m sick of hearing about leafs past. The last thing great about leafs past was in 1967 before I was born. Everything after that fits in the loser column.
Leafs in the playoffs will be done for a while, while this team retools or whatever it decides to shape shift itself into.
Wake me up when the leafs actually make the Stanley cup finals until then I’m out

I love it man. I'm an Avs fan and I think we all need to let these frustrations out and so most people can relate on that level. I was actually hoping the Leafs would win this year, once the Avs went out. I hate when teams make fans go through this without ever getting the satisfaction that we all hope to have, even if it doesn't mean winning the Cup. I wasn't even upset the Avs lost this year because I've hated the Mikko trade from the get go and knew it would come back to haunt them. So while I clearly wanted them to win, the loss was somewhat expected and deserved. Maybe this is the only way yall can finally move on from the Shana Plan. However, I think yall are still going to have to find a way to make Austin Matthews work. He clearly has talent, just needs to be healthy and figure it out with a better supporting team
Brother, if we had HALF of Wendel Clark and Doug Gilmour's heart we would be champions, as they should have had the opportunity to be in 1993. Shame on the current Leafs, we are a hollow shell of what that era of HEART we had back in Clark's era. Suffering with the rest of my Leaf brothers and sisters 🙁
